Wow… I missed a few entries since the last time I visited here
I really like this one… it’s simple and cute, but also subtley whimsical. The tiny watering can combined with the giant flower make me wonder how this girl could grow such a large plant… it makes me think of climbing up the plant to get to another world

wow, great! I like it. And your signature…what’s that about?

^I was also wondering about the signature… what is it?

Thanks, ladies:) Yeah the size of the plant vs. the watering-can added a lot to the painting’s narrative. Not that I gave it much thought, but I liked how the props added a tiny bit more history to the scene, so that it was more than a little girl chillin’ next to a creepy giant flower.
The signature “BF” just stands for “butterflower,” which is what the piece will be labeled during the show. There’s another piece I did called “points tangents” that has a “points” signature on it. I also needed a little graphic or something here to balance out the composition, since I didn’t want to crop the painting and find a new frame for it:/

Ah, that makes sense
I just looked up “butterflower” to figure out what one was. Learned something new!
